Color math stays on your machine
HexToCMYK Prepress Lab runs conversion in your browser. HEX, RGB, CMYK, spot distance, and image samples are calculated with the script on the page. Those values are not uploaded to hextocmyk.com to be processed.
If you use the image sampler or the Chrome extension eyedropper, the pixel stays in that tab. We do not receive the picture, the page you sampled, or the swatch file you downloaded. The .ASE file is built on your computer.
What we do receive
If you email support@hextocmyk.com, we receive what you put in that message and your reply address. We use it to answer you and to fix the tool. We do not sell that mail, and a question does not add you to a newsletter.
The host that serves the site may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP address, time, and browser type, for security and uptime. These pages do not run a third-party ad network, and the tools do not ask you to create an account.
| Data | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Color you convert | Stays in the browser. |
| Pixel you sample | Stays in the browser. |
| Email you send | support@hextocmyk.com, so we can reply. |
| Host logs | The hosting provider, for security and uptime. |
Extension, cookies, and mail
The HexToCMYK Chrome extension follows the same local rule. A sample is not a network request to our converter. Chrome's own update service is separate and is covered by Google's policies, not by this page.
The converters do not set tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will say so on this page before the change. Mail we answer sits in the support mailbox. Ask us to delete a thread and we will remove it from that mailbox.
This policy covers hextocmyk.com and the HexToCMYK Chrome extension. It was last updated on November 4, 2026. The lab is HexToCMYK Prepress Lab, 1209 Orange Street, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA.
